โ† Back to Logistics

The journey, stage by stage.

Everything that happens between the farm gate and your warehouse โ€” harvest and grading, cold chain, inland haul, ports and customs, ocean or air freight, destination clearance, and the document set each corridor requires.

Each Stage in Detail

๐ŸŒพ

Stages 1 & 2 โ€” Harvest, Processing & Grading

Ensuring quality from the field before the chain begins

๐ŸŒพ Crop Harvest & Collection

AgroHub coordinates collection from verified farms across Punjab (rice, wheat, cotton), Sindh (mango, rice), KPK (organic cotton, maize), and Balochistan (dates, apples). Field agents confirm yield and quality at source.

โš–๏ธ Grading & Sorting

All commodities are graded against international standards โ€” PSQCA for Pakistan, Codex Alimentarius for food safety. Rice is milled and polished. Cotton is ginned and baled. Mangoes are hand-sorted by size and brix.

๐Ÿ“ฆ Export Packaging

Commodities are packed in buyer-specified formats: 25/50 kg PP bags (grains), 20 kg cartons (fruit), bales (cotton). All packaging includes lot numbers, origin, and halal/organic certification marks.

๐Ÿ”ฌ Quality Inspection & Testing

Pre-shipment inspection by SGS Pakistan or Intertek. Phytosanitary sampling at registered labs. Moisture, aflatoxin, pesticide residue, and heavy metal testing as required by destination country regulations.

โ„๏ธ

Stage 3 โ€” Cold Chain & Warehousing

Temperature-controlled storage for perishable commodities

โ„๏ธ +2ยฐC to +8ยฐC โ€” Fresh produce (mango, vegetables) ๐ŸงŠ โˆ’18ยฐC โ€” Frozen halal meat, poultry ๐ŸŒก๏ธ Ambient โ€” Dry grains, cotton, spices

๐Ÿข Cold Storage Hubs

AgroHub partners with HACCP-certified cold stores in Lahore, Karachi, Hyderabad, and Multan. Capacity from 500 MT to 5,000 MT per facility. Real-time temperature logging and remote monitoring.

๐Ÿš› Reefer Transport (Farm to Port)

Temperature-controlled trucks for perishables from farm/cold store to Karachi Port or Port Qasim. GPS-tracked. Transit time: 8โ€“24 hours depending on origin province.

๐Ÿ“ฆ Reefer Container Stuffing

Direct stuffing into 20ft or 40ft reefer containers at cold store or Container Freight Station (CFS). Pre-cooling to required setpoint before loading. Humidity and ventilation settings per commodity.

๐Ÿ“ฒ IoT Chain of Custody

Temperature data loggers inside every reefer container transmit real-time readings accessible to buyers via the AgroHub tracking portal. Full cold chain integrity certificates issued on delivery.

๐Ÿš›

Stage 4 โ€” Inland Transport to Port

Faisalabad ICD โ€” Cotton and textile exports
Islamabad ICD โ€” KPK produce
Containers move to port under customs seal โ€” no re-examination at port.

๐Ÿ“‹ Pre-clearance at Origin

AgroHub arranges customs pre-clearance at ICDs to reduce port dwell time. GD (Goods Declaration) filed with FBR before containers arrive at Karachi. Typically reduces port processing from 5 days to 1โ€“2 days.
