You may lose some or all of your capital. Equity/partnership structures (Musharakah) share losses in proportion to the investment — this is the essence of Islamic finance. Murabaha exposures are secured by goods; Salam involves pre-harvest delivery risk.
Weather, pests, disease, yield shortfalls, logistics failures, commodity price moves and currency (PKR/USD) fluctuations can all reduce returns or cause loss.
Measures such as Takaful cover, satellite monitoring, collateral and partner arrangements are risk-management tools, not guarantees against loss.
